Henstone English Whisky Guild Interview

Having been a founder member of the Guild we are very keen to follow progress of and join the debates around the English Whisky category in general. It is interesting to note that when we started Henstone, back in 2017, there were some 14 distilleries recognised and like us, some didn’t even have whisky. In 2018 this number had grown to 25 and now it stands at some 60 plus producers. One of the initial activities of the Guild was to write a Geographical Indication (GI) for English Whisky – this has recently gone to the consultation stage and more details can be found here [The English Whisky Guild Statement]
